Family Room Stripdown started – and kitchen backsplash continues
As I continue to “uncover” where I’m going – I’m finding stripping things back more, is continuing to help. Yes, I’ve taken down another section of backsplash in the kitchen. I’ve removed the heavy box window treatments & shades in the family room – which revealed the blinds we’d put in when we moved in 20 years ago!! They were “just to cover the windows for a short time.” and now are put back to good use – I’m amazed at how much heaviness those big wood boxes (and the fabric kind of closed things in. More of my tabula rasa. Also brought in one of my neutral panels from another room to try in the family room – I like it…..but realize the paint has to go. I liked the look of the Revere Pewter on the photos from your webinar tonight. it appeared “warm” on the screen. Need to look back in my notes to see what the two greys were that we used in the kitchen & dining room, to see if they’re in same family/tone. Just an update, rather than a question, but I’m finding almost taking things back to scratch and putting back in what I want to keep is helping! Our big chair is comfortable, but is also in that rather tired looking Aztek pattern – and it is large – not sure recovering would make sense or replacing it with something that is a smaller profile. See after & before photos!
