This town house was easy to transform since the homeowner had nice furnishings to start with and was willing to do everything.

BEFORE – as the winter months approach you really have to think about lighting when selling your home since most showings are in the evening and it gets dark so much earlier in the day
AFTER – adding more lamps is always a good thing. Even where there is overhead lighting, lamps always create a nice soft mood. Using the homeowner’s artwork, we pulled the orange colour  for accessories in the the candles, pillows and flowers. Another tip was adding a taupe shag area rug for texture and it broke up all the dark brown leather, glass and dark wood. There is still enough of the wood floors showing for buyers to know that it is all wood. Removing the benches under the coffee table also made the table look more light and airy

AFTER – you always want to make your fireplace the focal point (especially in colder months). This fireplace is just a plug-in electric one but it shows buyers the potential for the space
BEFORE – this was a very nice powder room but it was missing the ‘wow’ factor in it
AFTER – we brought in the metal artwork that wasn’t necessary from another room and it made this room look more elegant on the main floor. Adding the orange towel and candle was a nice touch and continued the colours from the living room

BEFORE – this master bedroom was too dark since it didn’t have any overhead lighting and it was lacking colour.  If you plan on buying new linens for your new house, buy them NOW so this house looks great too for resale

AFTER – the homeowner bought new linens, lamps and plants and it made all the difference in the world! Removing the large mirror over the bed also made it feel lighter.  Plants always give life to a room too
BEFORE – as soon as I walked into this guest room I wanted to move the furniture. After lots of measuring we knew it would work
AFTER – turning the bed made a huge difference. The homeowner bought new linens, painted the end tables, bought lamps and removed the bookcase and brought in the chest from another room. It looks amazing and now she can have the same look in her new place. All the little pops of colour really finish off the look.  I love this transformation!!!
