Canada Day is just around the corner so it’s time to get your party supplies/décor now while things are still available! Fortunately, red and white are very popular colours in accessories any time of year.
When setting your table, you can always use solid red or white table cloths or even red/white checkered ones from the Dollar store for more colour. White dishes are available anywhere and you can also use the red or white plastic plates if you have a large crowd.
Make sure your guests are comfortable in the garden. Everyone has those Canadian flag folding chairs that you can buy at Canadian Tire. Ask them to bring them. Solid little stools like the ones above are nice if you have a smaller space to work with. For extra comfort, you can even buy a few accent toss cushions like the top photo.
Think about safety. You don’t want broken glass by your pool, lake or lawn! There are so many attractive alternatives.These were found at Bed, Bath & Beyond.
When planning you party, don’t forget little things at the Dollar Store for big impact: flags, streamers, balloons, candles, cups, napkins, lanterns etc. This is only a one-day a year party so use what you already have and treat yourself to a few new items that can be used year after year.
