Happy Easter From Our Table to Yours

This has been a particularly busy staging season for Styled & Staged and we would like to thank all our loyal clients. for your continued business.

Since I work with colours all day, everyday,  I wanted a serene colour palette for my table setting this year.  I absolutely love setting the table! It brings back so many fond memories of times I used to spend with my mom planning the menu and décor.  I hope that someday, my family will look back at these special occasions with the same fond memories.

I decided that I wanted to keep the table looking casual but elegant.  Gold and silver were my main colours for elegance, and natural elements were going to keep it casual.

I always like to use what I already have, so I was excited to be able to spray paint my decorative eggs from the dollar store with my metallic paint.  The little metal bowls were going to be my nests on the table.

I’m lucky to have a huge selection of  artwork and linens from my Staging inventory to switch things up for each occassion.  I chose these napkins and runner since they were very subtle and they tied in the artwork.  I loved how the little ‘nests’ turned out at each place setting.  They are nice ‘take-aways’ since they can be used for so many purposes.  I was happy to find covered chocolate eggs in the same soft pastel colours.  They looked great nestled in with my painted eggs.

I am sucker for traditions.  Even though my table looks completely different every year, these little bunnies always make it to the table.

Grouping three mason jars with white tulips kept the setting casual.  More natural elements like burlap ribbon covered with lace also made it feel nostalgic and a bit romantic.

It’s easy to mix gold and silver together when you add whites, creams and grays.  The metals can look too cold otherwise.  Continuing with the same ribbon on the vase keeps things consistent.  The pussy willows let you know it’s Spring but still stay within the colour pallet.

The most important thing to remember is that “IT’S NOT WHAT IS ON THE TABLE THAT COUNTS, BUT WHO IS AROUND THE TABLE!”

Happy Easter from your friends at Styled & Staged
